Peace House began in 1982 by organizing for Ashland to become a recognized Nuclear Free Zone. Ashland is now a companion to “Mayors for Peace” cities in 163 nations and regions, including 213 in the U.S. and 7 in Oregon. As of July 2019, there are 7,772 cities worldwide.
Since 1982, the international Mayors for Peace has called on cities throughout the world to join in solidarity to work together pressing to abolish nukes! We continue to be your Hub for social action and reporting on news and events within local Peace and Justice groups. Information is freely compiled and sent to those on the mailing list. Click Link
